I went on down to the Audubon Zoo...

... and they all asked for you!

Today, I took my very first trip to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. I had some great company, too. I went with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Marshall, Aunt Lindsey, Parrain, and Aunt Kristi.

I really enjoyed looking at all the animals: my favorites were the sea lions, turtles, and giraffes.

We also got to see an exhibit with real live dinosaurs! Okay, Mommy just told me they weren't real, but I don't believe her. They were moving and roaring! I was a little hesitant to get too close to them, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you: I had my very own limo service. Well, actually, it was a red wagon service. I would ride in it to each stop, and get out to look at the animals.

After the zoo, we all had a picnic under a shady tree.

Here are just a few highlights, but you can see all of the zoo pictures at my photobucket site.

We didn't have the best view of the elephants. One of them was spraying mud on his back to cool off. Do you think Mommy would let me do that?

Daddy and I got to ride on a dragon! Okay so Mommy says it's really a big lizard and this one's not real. Whatever...riding a real dragon sounds cooler.

I learned a new word: Alligator. The Audubon Zoo has white ones. Aren't they neat!

Here I am petting Boxer the ferret.

This is about as close as I would get to "Baby T-Rex." Doesn't look like a baby to me.

All the pictures you've seen so far are courtesy of Mommy, but I took a bunch of pictures of my own.

I think something's wrong with my camera, though. When I looked at the pictures I took at home, they all looked like this...

What happened to the animals?

Grandma says our next field trip should be to the Insectarium. She says that's a plays with a lot of bugs. AWESOME!
